The needs of our clients are too diverse for any one or two advisors to satisfy on their own. The wealth management team at SBC has many decades of multigenerational wealth management experience to serve our client’s varied financial and lifestyle desires with professional and personalized service.
Scott is the Founder and Former CEO of SBC Wealth Management. He founded the company in 1983 out of a passion for helping people develop the financial and lifestyle strategies necessary to create, enhance, and preserve their lifestyles. With over 46 years of experience, Scott is committed to helping clients navigate volatile markets, economic downturns, and unexpected life events to stay on course to achieve their financial goals.
Scott serves as Chairman of the SBC Council, while also serving on the Investment Committee. He has lectured at the Purdue School for Financial Planning, the Butler University MBA Alumni association, and has provided financial education programs for many public companies including Duke Energy, Raytheon, Roche Diagnostics, General Motors, Right Management, Lee Hecht Harrison, and more. As a result of his work with these organizations, SBC still provides many resources to executives, management, and employees of these and other companies.
Outside of work, Scott and his wife, Debbie, enjoy spending time with their two daughters and grandchildren. Scott is an active race car driver, racing in hundreds of races across the country over the years. As a result of his passion for collecting and showing vintage and classic cars, he races a 1963 Jaguar E Type in vintage races. He and Debbie enjoy traveling to Concours events where they show various collectible automobiles.
Scott and SBC are avid supporters of various non-profit community organizations, including the American Cancer Society, the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, the Heroes Foundation, and the Boy Scouts of America.
Scott is a managing member of H & M Properties, LLC a real estate holding company.
Patrick is CEO of SBC Wealth Management. He partnered with Scott and joined SBC as an advisor in 1987. Patrick enjoys helping clients who are successful, intelligent, and committed to financial independence navigate the important and often varied path to retirement.
Patrick serves on the SBC Council and Investment Committee. Patrick completed his Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) designation in 1994 through American College. Upon obtaining ownership in SBC in 1995, he became Director of Financial Planning.
When Patrick isn’t working with clients, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Michelle, and two daughters, Brittany and Emily. He enjoys many hobbies, including watersports, woodworking, collecting cars, and has a love/hate relationship with golf.
Patrick was a founding board member of the Gary Dudley Memorial Scholarship foundation. In 2017, he accepted an invitation to serve on the board of the White’s Residential and Family Services, an organization providing “HOPE for the teens and families in need of direction.”

Carson is President and Co-COO at SBC Wealth Management. Carson works exceedingly hard at helping his clients achieve financial freedom and flexibility. He works closely with each client to design individual proactive wealth management strategies and stands by their side to ensure success.
Carson serves on the SBC Council and Investment Committee. Carson completed the Accredited Wealth Management Advisor (AWMA®) designation in 2020 through the College For Financial Planning. He has been named a Five Star Wealth Manager in Indianapolis each year since 2011.
Outside of work, Carson and his wife, Carla, enjoy raising their four children and are very involved in their activities. Whether academics or competitive cheerleading, Carson values being there for his family. As an avid competitive cyclist, Carson is an active member of the Team Heroes Cycling Team, which supports the Heroes Foundation, an Indianapolis-based cancer community support organization.
Carson and his family are committed to giving back to the community and are actively involved in Emmanuel Church in Greenwood, IN, and the Heroes Foundation.
Erin is Vice President and Co-COO at SBC Wealth Management. Erin works with affluent families and individuals as their financial advocate. She is passionate about building personal relationships with her clients to educate and empower them on the journey to financial freedom.
Erin serves on the SBC Council and Investment Committee. Erin completed the Accredited Wealth Management Advisor (AWMA®) designation in 2018 through the College For Financial Planning. In her free time, Erin enjoys being a new mom to Richard Isaac Pentz (Rip), traveling with her husband, Rich, working out, playing tennis, and spending time with her dog, Bodhi.
Erin is very involved in the community, especially focusing her efforts fundraising for cancer patient resources in Indiana. She is a member of the Indianapolis American Cancer Society Guild and serves on the Board. She has had many different roles as a Guild member, from serving on the Discovery Ball Committee to President of the Guild. Erin served as Chief Everything Officer (CEO) on the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society National Man of the Year Campaign in 2020, and continued her involvement with the organization as an Executive Leadership Team Member in 2021. Erin is also passionate about rescuing dogs and is looking forward to building a sanctuary on her property to allow elder shelter dogs to live out their best years.
Sarah is a Wealth Advisor at SBC Wealth Management. Sarah cares deeply about her client’s financial well-being and builds deep, personal relationships to help them make the best decisions for their specific and unique lifestyle needs. She strives to make a lasting impact on her clients so they can spend less time worrying about money and more time enjoying life.
Sarah joined the SBC Team in 2015 and serves on the Investment Committee. She is currently working towards her Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) designation. Sarah began her career at a Fortune 500 company in Indianapolis. Although the future was bright, she knew something was missing. After a couple years, Sarah discovered a path outside of Corporate America, where she could increase the bottom-line of individuals and families. That, coupled with her background in finance, led her to SBC Wealth Management.
Sarah joined the SBC team as a Research Analyst, responsible for investment selection, portfolio construction, and review. After continued engagement with clients and opportunities to speak at several SBC programs, Sarah uncovered the joy in working with clients directly. Today, she enjoys preparing her clients for their personal financial goals, whether that be retirement, financial independence, or their child’s college education.
In her free time, Sarah enjoys being a new mom to little Weston, spending time with her husband, Blaine, and cuddling her two fur babies, Baker the cat and Luna the dog. You can find Sarah staying active at OrangeTheory, biking with her family, or learning the frustrating game of golf. She currently leads a women’s business group which focuses on empowering and supporting other working females.
Andrew is Wealth Advisor at SBC Wealth Management. He collaborates with clients to secure their financial future and lifestyle objectives, so they can focus on the things that are most important to them.
Andrew joined the SBC Team in 2021 as a wealth advisor, servicing existing client relationships. He obtained his Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA®) designation from the Investment and Wealth Institute and The Wharton School Executive Education Program. He previously worked for Graystone Consulting, a Morgan Stanley company, where he was responsible for fostering client relationships and business development efforts. His desire to work for an organization that values people and their lifestyle objectives rather than purely investment processes led him to SBC. Andrew’s strong background in analytics and aptitude for distilling the complexities of financial services into an actionable financial strategy for clients, make him a great addition to the SBC Team.
Outside of work, Andrew enjoys doing dad stuff—golfing, smoking meat, and playing video games—all while cheering on his beloved Chicago White Sox. He and his wife, Taylor, are proud parents to their 1-year-old son, Nolan, and their two rescue pit bulls, Stella and Winston.
Matt is a Wealth Advisor at SBC Wealth Management. Matt has an extensive background in wealth management. He is passionate about helping his clients achieve the confidence to retire on time and reach their lifestyle objectives.
Matt joined the SBC Team in 2019 and serves on the Investment Committee. CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation in 2019. He previously worked for Morgan Stanley and UBS, where he created, delivered, and monitored plans for clients. His desire to work for an organization that puts their clients first and to help people identify, understand, and meet their life objectives led him to SBC.
In his free time, Matt enjoys playing golf and hitting the slopes. He and his wife, Lucia, live in Indianapolis with their little one, James.
Matt is actively involved in the American Cancer Society, serving on the board for the Indy Select Golf Classic, and the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
Kevin is a Wealth Advisor at SBC Wealth Management. He helps clients achieve their lifestyle objectives by setting and sticking to common-sense financial goals.
Kevin joined the SBC Team in 2018 and serves on the Investment Committee. He holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance from Indiana University Kelley School of Business. With a passion for helping people and an expertise in finance, Kevin works with clients to design individual lifestyle solutions that are as personalized as they are flexible to help clients achieve financial freedom.
When he’s not at work, you can find Kevin bombing it down the fairway on the golf course. He is a proud Butler Athletic golf alum and former team captain. Kevin also served as a golf coach for his high school alma mater, Columbus North, who achieved a state championship title under his guidance.
Kevin and his wife, Lea, are proud parents of four young children. Currently, Lea and Kevin are cherishing first steps, new activities, and seeing the world through the eyes of a child.
Andrew is Chief Investment Officer at SBC Wealth Management. Andrew helps the clients avoid financial pitfalls and behavioral biases through smart and thoughtful portfolio construction.
Andrew has extensive experience in investment management, previously serving as Investment Associate at Merrill Lynch and as Senior Wealth Strategy and Portfolio Associate with UBS Financial Services.
Andrew joined the SBC Team in 2017 and serves as the Director of Portfolio Management. He obtained his Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation in 2013, and is a member of the CFA Society of Indianapolis. His desire to work for an organization that puts their clients first and to help people identify, understand, and meet their life objectives led him to SBC.
When Andrew isn’t constructing balanced portfolio strategies, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Katie, and his two children, Audrey and Charlie. Andrew is currently learning to play the guitar, is an avid Pacers fan, and enjoys watching open wheel racing and baseball.
Kevin is Chief Financial Officer at SBC Wealth Management. Kevin has over 30 years of financial management experience, including Controller for Hyatt Hotels and Chief Financial Officer for two not-for-profit organizations.
Kevin joined the SBC Team in 2016 and serves on the SBC Advisory Board.
In his free time, Kevin enjoys spending time with his wife, Gina, riding road bicycles, hiking in Rocky Mountain National Park, and working in the yard. Kevin and Gina have enjoyed nearly 40 years of marriage and treasure time spent with their grown children and grandson who have settled in the Indianapolis area. Kevin and Gina would be remiss not to acknowledge the joy and companionship they receive from their cat and granddog in their empty nest stage of life.
Mary is Director of First Impressions at SBC Wealth Management. Mary uses her signature skills of creativity and enthusiasm to provide a memorable and delightful experience for every client.
Mary joined the SBC Team in 2019 as the Director of Marketing and Client Events. With a passion for elevating the client experience, her role soon morphed into the Director of First Impressions. In her role, Mary is responsible for providing strategic guidance on the client experience. She has over 25 years of experience in the financial services industry, with an emphasis in marketing and event planning.
Outside of work, Mary enjoys spending time with her husband, Rob, at Lake Maxinkuckee and traveling to other parts of the country. Mary loves fashion and appreciates a good shopping trip to Chicago every now and then. She also enjoys attending local fashion shows to learn about the latest trends and styles.
Mary is actively involved with the Bethel University Alumni Board, the Indianapolis American Cancer Society Guild and the Discovery Ball Committee, where she currently serves as the Executive Chair.
Lee is Client Support at SBC Wealth Management. In her role, Lee is responsible for fostering relationships with clients to better serve them throughout their financial journey. She has a passion for working with clients to help them find solutions and manage the financial process to help them achieve their lifestyle goals.
Lee has over 12 years experience in financial services and client support. In previous roles, Lee worked for a large wealth management firm, where she supported five advisors and served over 600 clients. She enjoys working with people and providing welcoming interactions that reduce stress and nurture genuine connections. The emphasis SBC places on putting clients first is what Lee appreciates most about being part of the organization.
When she is not delivering delightful client experiences, you can find Lee working up a sweat at a boot camp class, walking, or biking. She appreciates time spent with her husband, Loren, and her three children—Evan, Emma, and Ian—their significant others, and her energetic Australian Shepard. One of her favorite things to do is to find new ways to create memories with family and cherished friends.
Lee is a proud supporter of the the Hope Center, an organization that offers hope and healing to women coming out of human trafficking.
Shanna is Client Support at SBC Wealth Management. In her role, Shanna is responsible for ensuring a positive client experience through high-quality service and communication. She values the relationships she has built with clients over the years and enjoys being an advocate for them on their financial journey.
Shanna joined the SBC Team in 2016. Through office interactions, phone calls, and client events, Shanna enjoys getting to know clients to better serve them. She advocates on behalf of our clients through the financial processes to provide an exceptional client experience. Shanna enjoys working together with clients to help them achieve their lifestyle goals.
When she’s not offering delightful client experiences, Shanna is probably hiking or doing anything outside. She’s fueled by coffee and sweets, not meeting many desserts she doesn’t enjoy. Shanna is the proud mom of four kids. Three of her children attend college at Butler, Purdue, and Ball State. She is cherishing final moments with her youngest at home, who is a sophomore in high school.
Lauren is Client Support at SBC Wealth Management. In her role, Lauren is responsible for supporting clients through various life events and managing their needs as they navigate financial processes. She enjoys serving clients and enjoys the relationships and trust they place with her.
Lauren joined the SBC Team in 2020. Before joining SBC, Lauren enjoyed 16 years in education teaching higher-level math. Her background in teaching serves as a great foundation for coaching clients through the many financial processes they will likely encounter as they navigate life. She looks forward to deepening relationships with clients and learning more about wealth management.
When she’s not offering delightful client experiences, Lauren enjoys spending time with her husband, Joel, and their two children, Ava and Aston. She loves to shop, read, travel, scuba dive, and do anything outdoors. As an animal lover, she has three pets—two Maine Coon cats, Enzo and Ziggy, and a Bernese Mountain Dog, Thor.

Dylan is an Operations Analyst at SBC Wealth Management. In his role, Dylan is responsible for optimizing internal systems and processes. He works daily reviewing policies and procedures, analyzing data, and providing recommendations to ensure the office operates efficiently for our team and our clients.
Dylan recently graduated from Wabash College with a degree in Economics. The family-like atmosphere and emphasis on client success attracted Dylan to SBC. He looks forward to being a key contributor to the team and finding ways to improve operational efficiency within the organization.
Outside of work, Dylan enjoys playing and watching sports, working out, playing video games, and spending time with friends, family and his two dogs, Remi and Bentley.
