In the spirit of gratitude, we pause to wish you a warm and happy holiday season. Around this time each year, we are reminded of simple joys in life and are grateful for clients, community, friends, family and neighbors who we have the profound privilege of working with each day.
To highlight all of the reasons we have to be thankful, we have asked each of our staff to share what they are grateful for. These are the people who help you navigate important financial decisions, who answer the phone when you call, who greet you with a friendly smile in the office, and others who work tirelessly behind the scenes to deliver a delightful client experience. To say we are thankful for this team is an understatement—we are truly blessed to work with such amazing individuals.
We’d be remiss not to say thank YOU for allowing us to be your trusted financial partner. On behalf of the entire SBC team, we appreciate you deeply. Cheers to you and your loved ones this holiday season!
With Many Thanks,
Erin Pentz & Carson Shadowen
Scott Holley, CEO

I’m most thankful for my faith in Christ, love of my family and friends, the faith and trust placed in us by our clients and my extended SBC family of advisors and support team. I’m truly blessed.
Erin Pentz, AWMA®, CCO + Director
As we reflect on the year our family has had, we have an overwhelming feeling of gratitude. We are blessed to finally have started our family after several years of struggle, loss, and heartbreak. Our little guy was born 10 weeks early and is healthy and thriving! We are overwhelmingly thankful for our family, friends, and SBC team and clients that have supported us through this and, most importantly, we are thankful for our health and happiness!
Carson Shadowen, AWMA®, Vice President + Director

I’m thankful for football, food, health, and happiness! This year, I’m especially thankful to be a part of the SBC Team. And I’m always thankful for the family I was born with and the family I’ve made along the way.

My wife, Katie, and I are thankful for these two amazing little nuggets. They keep us busy and on our toes, but, most importantly, they bring us so much joy!
Mary Creazzo, Director of First Impressions
I am thankful for so many things, but, most importantly, I am thankful for my husband, Rob. I am also thankful for opportunities to get away to our favorite travel escapes—Chicago and Lake Maxinkuckee.
Stephanie West, Director of Operations
I am thankful for my kids and husband. I would not be able to be the person I am today without them. They absolutely bring out the best in me.
Lynn Shepherd, Client Support Team
I am most thankful this year (and every day) for my husband’s health. In February, he had an emergency splenectomy due to a massive tumor. We began a battle with Lymphoma and several months of chemotherapy. Today his lymph nodes are now clear and he looks better than ever! We are overwhelmed with gratitude like we have ever experienced before.
Shanna Monroe, FPQP, Client Support
I’m thankful for these crazy kiddos of mine! They always make me laugh and are there when I need them.
Lauren Rebber, Client Support Team
I am thankful for my husband and kids!
Lee Anderson, Client Support Team
I am so thankful for our freedom, family, friends, and all the opportunities we have at our fingertips. I’m also very thankful for our health. After my husband’s heart attack a few months ago, it made us realize how very precious life is. We were blessed with a great medical team throughout his recovery. He has graduated from his rehab and is back to his love of cycling.
